Trader gives all his profit back and loses $21M with TRUMP amid tariffs crash

A cryptocurrency trader who had amassed over $11 million in profits with TRUMP memecoin has given it all back, accumulating more than $21 million in losses amid the tariffs crash. This weekend, Donald Trump started a trade war by implementing tariffs against China, Canada, and Mexico, crashing all markets worldwide. While Canada and Mexico tariffs are currently on hold, China has retaliated, imposing their own tariffs against the United States.  Under the macroeconomic uncertainty, most cryptocurrencies struggle at low prices, leaving many traders underwater, with massive realized and unrealized losses. Interestingly, TRUMP coin is one of the most affected in all this mess, punishing Donald Trump’s fans who bought it. Picks for you Tesla shipped nearly 4,900 vehicles a day in 2024 16 mins ago ...

Trader That Called 2021 Crypto Collapse Flips Bullish on Dogecoin, Hints at Bitcoin Breakout Now

Image
A trader who nailed the May 2021 Bitcoin (BTC) collapse is suddenly turning bullish on Dogecoin (DOGE). Pseudonymous analyst Dave the Wave tells 146,500 followers on the social media platform X that DOGE may be forming a bullish ascending triangle on the daily timeframe. A triangle pattern is considered bullish if the asset clears a key resistance level. Says Dave the Wave, “Tell me that ain’t bullish.” Source: Dave the Wave/X Looking at his chart, the analyst appears to also suggest that DOGE is consolidating in a broader symmetrical triangle pattern and may soon break through resistance that could put the memecoin in the $0.20 range. Dave the Wave also appears to suggest that DOGE will rally close to its all-time high of $0.73 during this cycle. DOGE is trading for $0.14 at time of writing, up 1.2% in the last 24 hours. Next up, the analyst says Bitcoin could ignite rallies to fresh all-time highs if the flagship digital asset can break th...

Image
A closely followed crypto strategist and trader says Solana (SOL) and three additional altcoins are his best picks for longer-term holds. Pseudonymous analyst Altcoin Sherpa tells his 223,400 followers on the social media platform X that SOL will likely remain in an uptrend as long as it holds $110 as support. In addition to SOL, the analyst reveals other picks for “longer-term buys,” including crypto gambling platform Rollbit’s native token RLB, the layer-1 protocol Saga (SAGA) and Bittensor (TAO), a decentralized blockchain platform that focuses on machine learning and AI. “Longer-term buys: RLB (shilled a lot plus ‘real value’ plus NFL). SAGA chart looks good. TAO at $200 (AI). SOL from $130-$110 still good in my opinion.” Zeroing in on SAGA, the analyst suggests that the token is currently trading in a range after carving a bottom. “SAGA I think this thing looks pretty good for a DCA (dollar cost averaging)/spo...

US indicts Ethereum validators for exploiting MEV trader

Anton Peraire-Bueno and James Peraire-Bueno, two brothers who operate Ethereum validators, have been indicted in the Southern District of New York on charges of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit money laundering. The charges related to a scheme that has been described as exploiting the ‘very integrity of the Ethereum Blockchain to fraudulently obtain approximately $25 million.’ The brothers allegedly worked together on a complex exploit that allowed them to take advantage of traders searching for ‘maximum extractable value’ (MEV) on Ethereum.  By operating multiple Ethereum validators, the brothers were allegedly able to submit blocks that included exploited transactions . Allegedly, once the brothers were aware that their validators would soon have opportunities to submit blocks, they would create ‘bait’ transactions that seemed to have significant upside for the MEV traders and wait for those traders to attem...

Why did Bitcoin price go down today? BTC traders brace for $23K retest

Bitcoin price gains take a hit from a rising U.S. dollar as excitement over the Fed's rate hike and market commentary fades.
